Washington Nationals Organizational Big Board

As regular readers of this site will know, the Washington Nationals farm system is one of the five worst in major league baseball. Nevertheless, they're still our guys and we here at Nationals Farm Authority try to keep you updated on anyone who might even be close to up-and-coming. To assist in getting the big picture, I've created an organizational big board that you'll be able to get to at any time from the link on the right. It's a bit messy for now as we transition to the next season. We have a lot of relievers who are really only low-A quality pitchers at this time and thus there are too many players at the lower levels. As more moves are made (e.g. losing any 6-year minor league free agents) and as soon as rosters begin getting finalized in the spring, the big board will get clearer. Edit: Here's the Big Board

Why is the big board flawed, Ben Cox was traded, Where is soto, sandora, german, belcher, thats just the catchers. many of the players on the board are no longer with the orginization. Nice work anyway

Anon #2: Thank you for your questions and the tip on Ben Cox - I didn't notice that. As for the other players you mentioned, the GCL level players are notoriously hard to project and as previously stated, the Big Board will be a lot clearer once the seasons start and rosters are set.

I didn't realize Soto had 30 ABs, but I left him off because he only pitched 1.2 innings. Sandora had 20 total ABs and if he is on a roster in the spring, he will of course be added. German had 13 total ABs - same thing as Sandora. Belcher is listed as an OF with Potomac because we've got a few too many catchers and he played outfield recently.

If you see other inaccuracies in the future, feel free to critique.

Just out of curiosity - Where is this year's 4th rounder - Justn Maxwell?

Maxwell has been added in the update that corrected for the weekend's moves and some of Anon #2's concerns.

Great!!! I really like the format and it will be invaluable to us that like following the "kids" in the minors almost as much as the guys in "the show". Not sure if all the pieces are in their right places, but it is a great start; and, I am sure you will adjust it as moves/plans are made over the next couple of months. Anyway, A standing ovation for the "Nats Big Board".

Muchas Gracias for this - I'll be keeping a very close eye on it as we get towards spring training.

One request for a possible addition - any chance that you could add the date the site was last amended (so we can tell how up to date), and (even better, but much more work!) what amendments were made?

Cheers!
